08 - Let rest 2 minutes, then cut apart into 12 mini sandwiches. Serve warm.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • The sweet Hawaiian roll creates this incredible flavor contrast with sharp cheddar that you cannot get from regular bread
  • Making twelve sandwiches at once means zero assembly line stress when youre feeding a crowd
02 -
  • Slicing through connected rolls takes a sharp serrated knife and a light sawing motion, do not rush this step or you will crush the bread
  • The foil cover step is crucial because it melts the cheese before the tops burn, which I learned the hard way
03 -
  • Let the rolls sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before slicing if they have been refrigerated, as cold bread compresses more easily
  • Room temperature cheese melts more evenly than cold cheese straight from the package
